Collecting Literary History

More Than Collecting Cards

Every Literary Collectible preserves a piece of literary history. Whether it celebrates a book, an author, a short story, or a special literary event, each collectible is created to document and honor the people and works that shape our literary culture. By collecting these pieces, you become part of preserving that history for future generations.

Why Collect Literary Collectibles?

Unlike mass-produced promotional items, every Literary Collectible is produced in a fixed quantity, assigned a permanent Registry number, and designed as a museum-quality keepsake. Each edition represents a documented moment in literary history.

Understanding Collections

Literary Collectibles are organized into themed collections. A single project may include a Book Collection card, an Author Collection card, individual Story Collection cards, and other related items. Collectors may choose a favorite piece or complete an entire collection.

Limited Editions

Every approved edition has a predetermined production quantity established before printing begins. Once that edition has been produced, it will not be reprinted. Future products may feature the same subject in a different format or design, but the original registered edition remains unique.

The Literary Collectibles Registry

Every collectible receives a permanent Registry number. Registry numbers are never duplicated or reassigned, allowing collectors to verify authenticity, identify editions, and trace the history of each collectible.

Protecting Your Collection

To help preserve your collection, store collectibles in archival-quality sleeves or holders, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat, humidity, and moisture, and handle them with clean hands. Proper care helps maintain their appearance for years to come.

Displaying Your Collection

Many collectors display their Literary Collectibles in acrylic stands, archival albums, shadow boxes, display frames, desktop easels, or custom wall displays. Choose a display method that protects the collectible while allowing it to be enjoyed.

Authenticity

Authentic Literary Collectibles include official design elements, Registry identification, and production information. The Registry provides an additional method for confirming authenticity and edition details.

Resale and Collecting

Collectors are free to buy, sell, and trade authentic Literary Collectibles. Literary Collectibles also plans to support an official authenticated resale marketplace to help preserve the history and provenance of issued collectibles.

Building Your Collection

Many collectors enjoy completing an entire series by obtaining every collectible associated with a project. Others focus on favorite authors, genres, or special editions. There is no right or wrong way to collect—every collection reflects the interests of its owner.

Why It Matters

Books preserve stories. Museums preserve history. Literary Collectibles brings those ideas together by creating permanent, documented keepsakes that celebrate literature and the people who create it. Every collectible represents another chapter in preserving our literary heritage.

Start Your Collection

Watch for new releases, Registry announcements, and special editions as Literary Collectibles continues to grow. Whether you begin with a single favorite author or build complete collections, every Literary Collectible connects you to the ongoing story of literature.

Work With Literary Collectibles

Turn a Literary Work Into Something Readers Can Collect

Literary Collectibles creates limited-production, museum-style collectibles that preserve and celebrate authors, books, stories, literary organizations, events, and publishing history.

Every project is developed with a clear purpose: to create an attractive collectible while preserving the people, works, and milestones behind it.

Literary Collectibles is legally operated as a division of Bourgeois Media & Consulting, LLC and works in partnership with the Authors Success Center and other participating publishers, organizations, and literary programs.

More Than Promotional Merchandise

A Literary Collectible is not designed to be a temporary advertisement.

Each approved item is developed as part of a documented collection with:

  • A limited production quantity
  • A permanent Registry number
  • Professionally designed artwork
  • Client-approved information
  • Museum-quality presentation
  • A direct connection to the author, story, book, organization, or event it represents

Once an approved collectible has completed its authorized production run, that registered edition will not be reprinted. This commitment helps preserve the authenticity and scarcity of every release.

Literary Collectibles Registry

Below is an information sheet about the Registry that will be created soon with our first collection.

Preserving Every Collection. Documenting Every Legacy.

The Literary Collectibles Registry is being developed as the official archive of every collectible released through the Literary Collectibles program.

More than a simple catalog, the Registry will become a permanent digital record connecting readers, collectors, authors, and literary history. Every official Literary Collectible will have its own place within the Registry, ensuring that the stories behind each release remain accessible for years to come.

Whether you are searching for a favorite author, verifying a collectible, or exploring an entire collection, the Registry is designed to preserve the history behind every release.

What Is the Registry?

The Registry will serve as the official online database of Literary Collectibles.

Each registered collectible will include verified information about its subject, collection, and place within the Literary Collectibles archive.

Registry entries may include:

  • Official Registry Number
  • Collection Name
  • Series Information
  • Author Name
  • Book or Story Title
  • Release Date
  • Publisher Information
  • Historical Notes
  • Collectible Images
  • Related Literary Resources

As the program grows, so will the depth and value of every Registry entry.

Built for Readers and Collectors

The Registry is designed to be more than a list of collectibles.

Readers will be able to discover new books, explore featured authors, and learn the stories behind each collection.

Collectors will have a trusted reference for identifying collectibles, understanding collection numbering, and tracking future releases.

Every Registry page becomes a bridge between the collectible in your hands and the literature it celebrates.

Official Registry Numbers

Every Literary Collectible will receive a permanent identification number that records its place within the Literary Collectibles archive.

Examples include:

  • LC-SSC-011-001 – Collection Cover
  • LC-SSA-011-001 – Author Card
  • LC-SSS-011-001 – Story Card

This numbering system creates a consistent archival record while helping collectors organize complete collections with confidence.

When completed, visitors will be able to explore the Registry in several ways.

The card captures a moment.

The Registry preserves the story behind it.

Planned Registry Features

The Registry is expected to expand over time with features including:

  • Official Collection Listings
  • Individual Card Records
  • Author Profiles
  • Story Information
  • Historical Notes
  • High-Resolution Collectible Images
  • Collection Checklists
  • Edition Tracking
  • Search and Filter Tools
  • Release Announcements
  • Educational Resources

As Literary Collectibles grows, the Registry will grow alongside it.

Why the Registry Matters

Literary history deserves to be organized, protected, and preserved.

The Registry creates a permanent record of every official Literary Collectibles release while providing readers, collectors, educators, and researchers with reliable information.

It also helps ensure that participating authors and their literary contributions remain connected to the stories and collections they helped create.

Currently in Development

The Literary Collectibles Registry is currently being developed.

The first Registry entries will be published alongside the inaugural Literary Collectibles release featuring the 11th Annual Short Stories by Texas Authors anthology.

Additional collections and Registry features will be added as the Literary Collectibles archive continues to grow.

We invite you to follow our progress and be among the first to explore the Registry when it officially launches.

Looking Ahead

The Registry represents more than a catalog—it is a commitment to preserving literary history.

Every collection added strengthens the archive.

Every author included expands the story.

Every reader who visits helps keep literature alive for future generations.

Every collectible has a number. Every number has a story. Every story deserves to be remembered.
