Sales and Quarterly Royalties

Literary Collectibles markets and sells the approved products and provides quarterly royalty accounting.

Standard Financial Terms

Unless a Project Schedule states otherwise, the standard participation terms are:

Project Setup Fee

$50 per project

The setup fee may include initial project preparation, Registry creation, file setup, basic image preparation, QR-code planning, administrative processing, and production coordination.

The fee applies to the overall project rather than separately to every item within that project.

Royalty Division

Client: 75% of Net Revenue
Literary Collectibles: 25% of Net Revenue

Net Revenue generally means the money actually received from qualifying sales after applicable taxes, refunds, chargebacks, payment-processing fees, marketplace commissions, shipping expenses paid by Literary Collectibles, and similar direct transaction costs.

Literary Collectibles’ ordinary design, printing, manufacturing, and inventory-production expenses are not deducted before applying the standard 75%/25% royalty split unless a Project Schedule specifically states otherwise.

Royalty Payments

Royalty statements and payments are handled quarterly.

The minimum royalty-payment threshold is $50. Smaller balances carry forward until the threshold is reached. A final payment below the threshold may be issued after the remaining inventory has been resolved.

Client Benefits

Each participating client receives:

One Complimentary Set

The client receives one complimentary set of every approved card or item included in the project.

Standard shipping for the initial complimentary set within the United States is paid by Literary Collectibles. International shipping, customs, duties, and related expenses are billed separately.

50% Client Purchase Discount

Clients may purchase additional available project products at 50% off the established retail price, plus applicable shipping and related charges.

Products purchased at the client discount become the client’s inventory. The client may resell those products at any lawful price they choose.

Because every edition has a fixed production quantity, discounted purchases remain subject to inventory availability and reasonable purchase limits.

Ownership and Creative Rights

The Client Retains Their Intellectual Property

Clients retain ownership of their underlying:

  • Copyrights
  • Books and stories
  • Photographs and artwork
  • Publishing rights
  • Film and television rights
  • Audio rights
  • Translation rights
  • Adaptation rights
  • Other intellectual-property rights

Working with Literary Collectibles does not transfer ownership of the client’s original work.

Literary Collectibles Receives a Limited License

The client grants Literary Collectibles permission to use approved materials as necessary to create, manufacture, register, promote, distribute, sell, archive, authenticate, and support the approved project.

Literary Collectibles Retains Its Production Materials

Literary Collectibles retains ownership of its original:

  • Templates
  • Borders and backgrounds
  • Collection designs
  • Registry structure
  • Numbering systems
  • Branding
  • Layout systems
  • Packaging designs
  • Production methods

Limited Editions and Permanent Registry Records

Scarcity and documentation are essential parts of the Literary Collectibles program.

Each Project Schedule establishes the maximum number of units that may be produced. Once that run has been completed, the same registered collectible will not be printed again.

A future product related to the same subject may be developed only when:

  • Both parties agree in writing
  • It has a materially different design, format, edition, or purpose
  • It receives a different Registry number
  • It is not represented as another printing of the original edition

Registry records remain part of the Literary Collectibles archive after a product sells out, is retired, is withdrawn, or becomes available only through resale.

Existing Inventory and Resale

If a project or agreement ends after products have been manufactured, Literary Collectibles may continue selling:

  • Remaining authorized inventory
  • Archival inventory
  • Previously issued products
  • Authenticated resale items
  • Collector consignments
  • Products offered through an official Literary Collectibles resale platform

The standard royalty division continues to apply to qualifying sales of remaining original inventory.

Later sales between independent collectors do not generate the original production royalty unless a separate agreement provides otherwise.

Transparent Terms Before You Commit

We believe clients should understand the terms of participation before making a decision.

The sample agreement explains the general framework used for Literary Collectibles projects, including:

  • Intellectual-property protections
  • Production and approval responsibilities
  • Limited-edition requirements
  • Royalty calculations
  • Complimentary products
  • Client discounts
  • Registry permanence
  • Marketing rights
  • Remaining-inventory provisions
  • Termination and resale procedures

The final agreement for an approved project may include a customized Project Schedule and other project-specific terms.

Important Notice

The sample agreement is provided for general review only. It is not an offer, an executed contract, or legal advice. No contractual relationship is created until an agreement has been completed and accepted by all parties.

Limited Production

Limited Production

Literary Collectibles pays the ordinary costs of creating and manufacturing the approved products.

Every product is created in a fixed quantity stated in the Project Schedule. Once that production run is completed, no additional units of that registered edition will be manufactured.
